Whilst we set up our yoga centre teaching Purusha Yoga and Wellness in the beautiful town of Kendal in Cumbria in 2016, we began our individual journey to self-awareness and wellness more than a decade before that. Indeed by practicing yoga, the mind can consciously approach and encompass the body allowing mindful living.
YOGA – EXERCISE THE BODY AND MIND
Yoga is differentiated from any other exercise by its focus on consciousness and spirituality. It is not a simple physical exertion of energy, but an exercise of the spirit.
As we move and advance, so does our spirit. Calling poses by their Sanskrit names, we allow our yoga students, local to our Kendal studio, to become immersed in the true spiritual wealth and meaning of yoga.
HOW DO I BEGIN MY YOGA JOURNEY?
The journey begins in breathing.
Breathing in creates openness within ourselves whilst breathing out creates space. The resulting expanse makes way for interactions with those around us.
